What day is today? is a graphic novel about memory loss. About how the things that normally make up the structure of the day, slowly get mixed and slip out of hands. I used to volunteer as an elder buddy where I would spend time with people who suffer from Alzheimer’s decease. Already having personal experiences with memory loss and seeing this first-hand made me compelled to make work around this. The book was part of an exhibition at the Utrechtse Boekenbar during my studies in 2018.

The story has been made with colored pencil and has been binded in a manner to resemble a calendar binding.
