Work I created while following my fascinations with roots. I enjoy to sometimes use fine art work to turn them into more design based work while listening to music. This is what I did with this CD jacket.

In 2022 I developed a fascination for roots and likewise shapes. In our backyard, I dug up a big root which I stumbled upon by accident and which extends into progressively smaller and more irregular branches. I always enjoyed the shape and idea of them, but while sketching and writing around them, I couldn’t let go of them. I can’t stop thinking about them and I see them everywhere. They keep appearing in my work and my mind. I keep on searching for them unconsciously and in my most subconscious drawings, they keep on arriving. Their hidden nature, their networks of strength and simultaneously fragility, the given of fertility, interconnectedness. An unintentional body of work that is growing.
