This sculpture aims to capture the free, supple and organic essence of a snake by enclosing it in a transparent, sharp-edged cube. The cube’s transparency allows for observation from all angles, each of which I carefully decided. The crisp edges of the cube and the dissected body of the snake reflect the clarity and sense of control verses freedom I wanted to express.
